Iloilo City mayor feted as outstanding public servant by RPMD

Representatives from the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) visited Iloilo City on Tuesday to bestow upon Mayor Jerry P. Treñas the title of “Outstanding Public Servant” for 2023 along with a plaque and certificate.

The accolade, resulting from a comprehensive performance assessment concluded in January 2024, acknowledges the democratic will and trust of the people of Iloilo City. The certificate, signed by Dr. Paul Martinez, Global Affairs Analyst and Executive Director of RPMD, affirms Mayor Treñas’s high job performance and trust ratings.

In response, Mayor Treñas expressed his heartfelt thanks to the foundation and dedicated this honor to all residents of Iloilo.

“This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the men and women in the City Government, supported by our community and various partners,” he said.

Treñas reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing community service and introducing more beneficial programs.

RPMD commended Mayor Treñas’s transformative leadership, noting his significant contributions to Iloilo City’s infrastructure, public services, and civic involvement. His devotion to the constituents’ welfare and innovative governance were central to the city’s impressive strides in development.

RPMD’s thorough review of Treñas’s initiatives assessed their positive impacts on urban growth and the quality of life of the citizens.

“This award not only recognizes Mayor Treñas’s pivotal role in the advancement of Iloilo City but also underscores his exemplary leadership in modern governance, promoting sustainable development within the community,” noted the RPMD.
