This might be Iloilo MB Dance Academy’s greatest international finish of the year.

The young and prized dancers of one of the most prominent dance academies in the City of Love just dominated during the recently concluded 2021 Asia Cup Taipei Open Championships and Lionheart Online dance sports competition.

In the course of the two prestigious dance sports competitions, four MB Dance Academy dancers hauled a total of 28 gold medals, one of their most dominant outings in their international stints this 2021.

Joemel Yap Magallanes, Dana Angelica Galfo, Zoe Alexandria Lanceta, and Leanne Reigh Lanceta were the four outstanding dancers who delivered international glory to Iloilo City once again and were also present in their past winning tournaments.

Magallanes clinched an impressive 10-gold medal count, five during the Asia Cup Taipei Open and five more during the Lionheart competition.

Meanwhile, Galfo, was one gold medal shy of tying Magallanes who got a total of nine including outstanding performances in ChaCha, Samba, and Rumba.

Under the Open Solo Under-10 category, Lanceta was the star of the show after besting all the participants in three subcategories of the Under-10 group.

Lastly, Leanne stole the show in the Open Solo Under-18 category in the Taipei Open and another gold medal in the Youth Duo Female category.

It was another spectacular finish for head trainer Matthew Cutanco Balbastro and his dancers after putting Iloilo City at the top of dance sports once again.
