ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Ten more boxes of Sinovac vaccines from the national government arrived at the Roxas City airport Tuesday morning on board a Cebu Pacific flight.

Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras said the 15,000 vials of Sinovac could some 7,500 Capicenos.

Contreras thanked the national government for the continued support for the province’s vaccination program.

Meanwhile, the Roxas City government put up additional COVID-19 Vaccination Centers to cater to more persons who want to be inoculated against COVID-19.

Assistant Department head Ronald Amigo said the city has 15 vaccination sites set up by the city government. But the vaccination sites could not accommodate more persons.

Amigo said they will hire more volunteers from the different organizations and medical schools who will assist in the vaccination.

On Friday last week, the vaccination site of the city government in Brgy. Lawaan here was mobbed by people who wanted to be inoculated.

Vaccination was momentarily stopped because health protocols like safe distancing could no longer be observed.
