Filipino top virtual kata athlete James De Los Santos clinched another tournament gold medal after conquering the second leg of the Katana Intercontinental League.

The recent title-clinching victory earned him his ninth gold medal of year 2021 and his 45th overall since entering the world of e-kata.

Aside from his 45 gold medals, De Los Santos also topped his personal best after registering an impressive 27.44 against rival Matias Moreno Dormont of Switzerland.

The Katana Intercontinental second leg featured a reunion of the world’s best with De Los Santos, Dormont, USA’s Alfredo Bustamante and England’s David Brierly all in the competing lineup.

However, all of the international e-kata top performers could only watch De Los Santos dismantle everyone and reach the pedestal once again.

De Los Santos won his second gold in just two weeks and also asserted his mastery over top e-kata athletes during the first leg of the Katana Intercontinental meet.

The Filipino pride karateka also secured his world no. 1 virtual kata rank after his recent gold medal hauls and will look to maintain his place to become the undisputed king once again.
