A 44-year old man was repeatedly shot in the presence of his wife and daughter morning of Aug 7, 2020 in Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Herbie Andicoy was operating a family-owned mobile rice mill when two riding-in-tandem stopped in front of him.

One of the suspects then sprayed bullets on him before speeding off.

They motorcycle-riding suspects left Andicoy’s wife and daughter unscathed.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds on the left side of his head, left breast, and right ankle.

He was brought to Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan town. He was later transferred to Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.

But Police Major Niño Leonard Amar, Cabatuan police chief, said the victim died while undergoing treatment.

Although the gunmen were wearing crash helmet, Amar said they already have persons of interest.

“We established the possible motive. It’s likely that Andicoy was killed due to personal grudges,” he said but did not elaborate further.

Investigators recovered 5 empty shells of caliber .45 ammunition from the crime scene.
