BACOLOD City – Department of Social Services and Development head Pacita Tero said more Badjaos are expected to come here as the holiday nears.

Tero said they have noticed an increase in the number of Badjaos asking for money from motorists in the city’s streets recently.

She also said the DSSD had been initiating rescue operations of Badjaos who are mostly residents of Sagay and Victorias cities.

“The public should not tolerate and not give any money to the Badjaos. It would better if they donate instead to legitimate organizations,” she added.
