More than 26K health protocol violators nabbed

BACOLOD City – A total of 26,921 persons were caught violating health protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic here from January 1 to July 11, 2021.

Based on a report of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), face mask violators topped the list with 9,221, followed by curfew violators (6,335), face shield violators (6,223), liquor ban violators (2,843), and social distancing violators (2,299).

The BCPO recorded the lowest number of violators in January with 612, under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

The highest number of violators (7,513) were recorded from May 31 to July 11, 2021.

Bacolod is currently under the stricter community quarantine status from July 1 to 31, 2021 due to the alarming increase in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

On July 12, Bacolod logged 60 new cases, 46 new recoveries, and two new deaths. All 60 new cases are local transmission.

The city now has 14,054 cases including 1,462 active cases.

The city government has inoculated a total of 64,184 residents as of July 9, 2021. The number includes 14,177 residents have been fully vaccinated or completed two doses.

As for the number of vaccine doses, the city has administered a total of 78,361 doses. Of this number, 64,184 are first doses, and 14,177 are second doses.

Of the 78,361 doses, 22,057 doses are AstraZeneca, and 56,304 doses are Sinovac.
