The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) are still sticking with their broadcast media partner ABS-CBN despite the non-renewal of the latter’s franchise.

Both sports organization cited that they have an existing contract with the network and plan to stick with their agreement until further notice.

“We have an agreement with ABS-CBN, and until we hear from them that they can’t cover us, we’ll keep our commitment to them,” said PVL president Ricky Palou.

No matter the format or platform they use as long as ABS-CBN airs their games President Palou said that they will honor their commitment with the network and remain to be their partner until their contract expires.

For the NCAA management, they are waiting for ABS-CBN’s call for a general meeting then they can discuss the options to be relegated regarding NCAA’s next season.

“We were saddened by recent denial of the application for a new franchise by ABS-CBN. But we are sure the NCAA can work it out with them. We need to sit down and discuss with ABS-CBN management what the options are,” said NCAA season 96 Management Committee chairman Fr. Vic Calvo.

The collegiate association is also open to the use of other platforms such as online streaming as long as ABS-CBN would air their games.
