Over 1,300 jobs available on Labor Day Job Fair

In line with the 120th Labor Day celebration, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office No. 6 invites jobseekers to the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job Fair at the Cyberzone, SM City Iloilo on May 1, 2022.

Currently, an initial of 1,341 vacancies are offered by 21 local companies that registered online.  It is expected that more private establishments will participate in the first full face to face job fair since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Regional Director Atty.  Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr. said that the Job Fair helps strengthen the country’s economy by creating opportunities for a strong and dynamic work force.

Attuned to this year’s theme, “Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa”, the Regional Office has pooled job vacancies for service providers, factory workers, office workers, machine operators, customer service representatives, accounting officers, administrative assistants and human resource management, sales, purchasing and marketing staff, construction workers, heavy equipment operators and engineers.

Opportunities to work in the USA, Kuwait, United Kingdom and Macau are also waiting for registered nurses, physical therapists, senior carers and hotel staff.

DOLE RO No. 6 with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) also prepared an entrepreneurial summit and skills demo on t-shirt printing to provide entrepreneurial options to the jobseekers.

The TNK is an initiative between the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) which aims to create decent jobs through the promotion of entrepreneurship.

RD Rodriguez also organized the Help Desk Corner that will assist the workers’ with concerns on workers’ welfare, labor relations, compensation packages, occupational safety and health, overseas workers’ welfare and employment, wages and productivity.

Interested jobseekers are advised to pre-register at https://forms.gle/BP8nRffzDnnY8oBo6 prior their entry to the venue and to bring their bio-data, resume and other credentials as well as ball pens and hand sanitizers. Minimum health protocols will still be observed in the conduct of the event.
