A businessman was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation late afternoon of April 8, 2021 in Passi City, Iloilo.

Aristotle Pablico, 43, a resident of Barangay Man-it, Passi City, was collared in a buy-bust operation at Gines Viejo village.

Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Pamonag, Passi City police chief, said Pablito allegedly sold two sachets of suspected shabu for P25,500 to a police undercover agent.

Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU), together with Passi City PNP and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG-6)’s Anti-Illegal Drug Team led the operation.

When he was frisked, police operatives seized from Pablico 14 sachets of suspected shabu. Also taken from his possession was a black Suzuki motorcycle.

The seized substance was valued at P238,000.

Pamonag said the suspect, a trader of pork and fish, is listed as a high-value individual (HVI) drug personality.

He was arrested in 2013 for an illegal drug offense but was released from jail the following year.

Police believed that the suspect used his business as a front for his alleged illegal drug trading.

Pamonag said the victim claimed that he’s been getting illegal drugs from a source in Metro Manila, but it is still subject for verification.

Pablico is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
