As the PBA is gearing up for its near return after finalizing the planned bubble in Clark, commissioner Willie Marcial also set out critical rules to be followed by the participating teams.

Following the PBA board’s approval, Marcial revealed that the two-month PBA bubble in Clark will prohibit player trades and set September 23, 2020 as the final deadline for all the teams to submit their roster.

“Final lineup namin Sep 23. Kaya sinabi ko wala nang trades, kasi final na ‘yun e. ‘Di ka pwede magpalit-palit,” Marcial said.

The only thing that PBA teams can do is to sign available free agents and to issue out contract extensions to their current players.

Also, trade overrides and suspension of contracts of those players listed in the official lineup of the teams is also not allowed.

All the bubble participants will be housed in Quest Hotel and should observe all the protocols released by the PBA regarding house rules.

Currently waiting for the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, the amiable commissioner is optimistic adding that they already set out the best health protocols to protect their players.
