The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) revealed that they will be staging a Champions League tournament from November 13 to 26.
Top teams from all over the country will vie for volleyball supremacy both in the men’s and women’s categories.
PNVF president Ramon “Tats” Suzara confirmed that nine teams already expressed their interest in joining the prestigious tournament but they will have to limit the participants to eight clubs only.
The PNVF executive already met with some clubs regarding the preparation for the tournament including Cignal HD, Black Mamba-Army, Sta. Lucia, Chery Tiggo, PetroGazz, and F2 Logistics.
Aside from the Manila-based volleyball clubs that will join the league, two teams from Baguio City and Iligan City are also expected to grace the competition.
Suzara and the rest of the PNVF committee will only be giving the teams until October 20 to have their final rosters submitted.
The Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena in Laoag City, Claro M. Recto Events Center in Lipa City, and Tagaytay City are the eyed potential venues for the upcoming league.
