ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police launched a manhunt operation against two suspects who killed a fellow farmer in Barangay San Juan, Jamindan Capiz.

Police Captain Peter John Pisueña, Jamindan Municipal Police Station, said they are hunting Eric Valaquio and Felomino Villeza for the death of Jomen Nicholas, 33, also of San Juan.

An investigation is ongoing to ascertain the real motive of the incident because the suspects and the victim have no grudges against each other.

The victim identified the suspects to the police before he died.

Pisueña said Valaquio was facing a homicide charge while Villegas was involved in the hacking to death of the victim’s brother.

Nicolas succumbed to multiple hack wounds on his body.

An investigation by the Jamindan PNP indicated that Nicolas and the suspects were seen drinking in a store.

The hacking happened while the three were on their way home.

Villeza and Balaquio used bolos in hacking the victim’s chest, neck, and shoulder.

Some bystanders took the victim to the nearest hospital, but he died upon arrival.
