BACOLOD City – Police officers arrested a security guard in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental yesterday for allegedly killing his former co-employee at Barangay Mansilingan here Sunday.

Lieutenant Conrado Espino Jr., head of Police Station 7, said the suspect identified as 25-year-old Antonio Enanoria was arrested at his sibling’s house in Barangay Tabugon, where he hid after the shooting incident that claimed the life of Joebe Natividad Jr., 31, of Barangay Granada here.

Espino said personnel of Kabankalan City Police Station also helped them in locating the suspect who did not resist authorities when arrested.

Espino said the shooting incident happened when Natividad, who was allegedly drunk, forcibly entered the compound around 6 p.m. which led to an altercation between him and Enanoria.

“Nagkaroon sila ng pagtatalo. Pinapaalis siya nung guard dahil bawal na siya pumasok doon kasi former employee na siya pero ayaw sumunod,” the station commander said.

Espino said Enanoria alleged that Natividad punched him on the face, prompting him to shoot the latter on the body and left hand.

The suspect used his service firearm, a 12-gauge shotgun.

Natividad died on the spot.

Espino said the victim accused the suspect of having a hand in missing electrical wires in the compound.

Murder charges will be filed against Enanoria, who is detained at the police station.
