ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A tattoo artist and former drug surrenderer was arrested in a drug sting operation Wednesday afternoon at Brgy. Malag-it Pontevedra, Capiz.

The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Aaron Anther Areno, 29, of Brgy. Binuntucan also in said town.

Recovered from Areno were 5 sachets of suspected illegal drugs, the P500 marked money, and a cellphone.

Police said the suspect was arrested in 2015 for the same offense but he was released through plea bargaining agreement.

The officers apprehended Billanes and checked his driver’s license. But they were surprised when they noticed a firearm tucked in his waist.

The suspect voluntarily surrendered his .45 caliber firearm and magazine loaded with 6 live ammunition. But he failed to present valid permits for the gun.
