Three wanted persons nabbed

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons wanted for rape, homicide, and child abuse were arrested in separate operations Friday last week, Jan. 6, 2023 in Sigma, Panitan and Pontevedra towns.

The Sigma police collared Antonio Villan Jr. 44, of Brgy. Mangoso Sigma in the house of a relative at Barangay Poblacion. He is the town’s alleged No. 2 most wanted person for a homicide case.

The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Rommel Leonor of the Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Mambusao on Jan 5, 2023.

The court recommended P20,000 bail for Villan’s temporary liberty.

In Panitan town, the police nabbed Jonel Bayhon, 36, of Brgy. Batiano, Mambusao at Barangay Cogon, Panitan for the crime of rape.

The warrant of arrest was issued by RTC Branch 20 Judge Judith Orendain Tonogbanua in Mambusao town on Nov 21, 2021 with no bail recommended.

Bayhon is presently detained at Mambusao Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, police in Pontevedra town also collared Rey Orola Jr. 22, of Brgy. Malag-it Pontevedra but has an address at 12th Street, Brgy. 183, Villamor, Pasay City.

Joint operatives of the Pontevedra MPS and CIDG-DSOU served a warrant of arrest against Orola for violation of Sec. 10 of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act or Anti-Child Abuse Law).

The warrant was issued by RTC Branch 14Judge Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo in Roxas City on Dec 23, 2022.

The court recommended a P80,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
