Tourism chief inspects Robinsons Hotels’ new normal safety and hygiene measures

“Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Congressman Roman Romulo and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto visit Go Hotels Ortigas Center in Pasig City to monitor compliance to DOT’s health and safety standards. They are joined by Arthur Gindap, Senior Vice President and BU General Manager, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts.

Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat paid a recent visit to Go Hotels Ortigas Center, one of the commercial properties of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), to check the new normal safety and hygiene protocols adapted by the company.

Secretary Puyat was joined by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Congressman Roman Romulo and Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez.

RHR’s Circle of Clean protocols ensure the frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-contact public areas with the use of hospital-grade disinfectants, temperature checks and foot baths in every hotel entrance, available hand sanitizers in key areas, contactless payment facility and a luggage sanitation area.

The company’s hotel properties have been prepared with these new normal safety measures based on World Health Organization, Department of Health and Department of Tourism guidelines.

The Circle of Clean employs the use of personal protective equipment for front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage staff.

Weekly misting in all guest areas and regular deep cleanings are also strictly observed as part of the enhanced operating protocols.

Pre-order/food pick-up and delivery service, pre-packaged breakfast sets and social distancing in restaurants and function venues are also implemented as part of modified food and beverage operations.

RHR, the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Inc., is preparing for the soft re-opening of its select Go Hotels and Summit Hotels and Resorts properties around the Philippines as local government units transitions to a more relaxed community quarantine.

Since quarantine measures were imposed from mid-March, RHR has kept over 50% of its homegrown hospitality brands – Go Hotels and Summit Hotels and Resorts – open to service the needs of long-term stay guests, mostly employees from business process outsourcing firms and repatriated overseas Filipino.
