BACOLOD City – Two brothers were arrested in a buy-bust that also led to the confiscation of 70 grams of suspected shabu worth P476,000 at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here Saturday.

Police identified the subjects as Marlon Aguirre, 46; and his younger brother Maxzell, 27, both residents of the said village.

Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) also recovered from them the P1,000 marked money.

Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said the siblings were previously arrested for a drug offense.

Mogato said that both of them were released through plea bargaining in 2019 and 2018, respectively.

Mogato said they are considered high value individuals because of the huge volume of drug recovery.

He said they are checking if the two are involved in a drug group.

Both of them refused to tell the police the source of the illegal drugs but Mogato said they already have an idea.

The brothers, who have yet to be reached for comment, are detained at Police Station 2.
