ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Around P102,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were recovered by police in a buy-bust operation against two persons Thursday afternoon, Jan 26, at Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Panay, Capiz.
The suspects were Joemer Buensalido, 41, of Arcenas Subdivision, Barangay Tiza; and Ronelo Estandarte Jr., 35, of Barangay Banica here.
The operation was conducted by joint forces from Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Station Drug Enforcement Teams from Panay, Panitan and Maayon Municipal Police Stations.
Recovered from the suspects were 4 sachets of suspected shabu including the sachet bought by the poseur-buyer, the P6,500 marked money, a cellphone, a wallet, P300 personal cash, and a tricycle.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the two suspects who are detained at Panay Municipal Police Station.
