ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police on Monday filed charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against two persons who were arrested Friday last week.
The charges were filed against Reynaldo Adremisen, 54, and Laurel Besa, 24, before the City Prosecutors Office.
Last week, the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Roxas City Police Station collared Adremesin of Malipayon Village, Barangay Tiza in a drug buy-bust operation at Legaspi St. Cor. San Roque St., Barangay ll here.
The operatives recovered from the suspect seven plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a pouch and one unit of cellphone.
The police estimated the total value of illegal drugs at P46,000.
Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, spokesperson of the Roxas City PNP, said Adremesin is a waiter of the restaurant where the buy bust operation was conducted.
Minutes after Adremesin’s arrest, the Provincial DRUG Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office nabbed Besa of Brgy. Dumulog in another drug bust at Brgy. Tanza Gua here.
Recovered from Besa were six sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and P100 personal cash.
The recovered drugs were valued at P6,800.
