Young man stabbed dead, two kins injured

BACOLOD City – A 27-year-old man surrendered to the police hours after a stabbing incident that killed a young man and injured two others in Barangay Caduha-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Gil John Despi, city police chief, said that suspect Kier Franco allegedly stabbed to death Jupith Teruel, 22.

Jupith’s relatives – Romart Teruel, 24, and Jeric Cañete, 26 were wounded in the incident.

Despi said the three victims and the suspect were attending a benefit dance during a barangay fiesta when a commotion ensued between them at the covered court due to drunkenness.

Jupith suffered multiple stab wounds and was declared dead in a hospital while his two companions are still confined in separate hospitals, according to Despi.

Despi said that homicide charges were already filed against Franco who is now under police custody.
