The operation of the Mandurriao police station is back to normal.

Effective Thursday, Mandurriao PNP’s 117 personnel, including chief of police Major Marlon Valencia, went back to duty after completing the 14-day quarantine.

The 117 cops underwent quarantine after two fellow cops tested positive for COVID-19.

Police Colonel Eric Dampal, Iloilo City Police chief, said all of officers tested negative in the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR) test.

The two confirmed Covid-19 cops were also negative in their repeat RT-PCR test, meaning they have recovered.

Those who were temporarily assigned to Mandurriao PNP will return to their units.

When the 117 policemen were placed on quarantine, Dampal pulled out officers from five different police stations in Iloilo City to augment Mandurriao’s police force.

He also designated Major Glenn Jaromay, the deputy chief of the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, as officer-in-charge,

Dampal said they are working for other officers in other stations and units to undergo RT-PCR test to ensure that they are safe, including their families.
