BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported that 53 officers have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of July 21, 2021 after 33 more officers received their doses.

Police Lieutenant Liberty Indiape, BCPO deputy information officer, said these personnel received various vaccines.

Eight personnel from the BCPO headquarters were already inoculated, seven from the Mobile Patrol Unit, three from the Traffic Enforcement Unit, and 10 from Bacolod City Mobile Force Company.

Indiape said seven personnel each from Police Stations 1 and 7 also got their COVID-19 shots, one each from Police Stations 2, 3, and 10, four each from Police Stations 4 and 9, six from Police Station 6, and four from Police Station 9.

Around 20 police officers kicked off the vaccination rollout among BCPO personnel in April.

According to Police Major Sherlock Gabana, BCPO information officer, the vaccines for the BCPO personnel depend on its availability and the approval of their request from the city’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC).
