ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Employees and clients of PhilHealth-Roxas City were alarmed Monday morning after an unidentified person sent a text message that a bomb was planted inside the office.

Major Pedro Goldino Diocson, chief investigator of the Roxas City PNP, said he received information about 8 am Monday from Local Health Insurance Chief Frederick Diaz that a bomb was placed inside the edifice.

The police immediately responded along with the K-9 sniffing dog of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Capiz and other enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of the public.

It took more than one hour of searching inside and outside the establishment before it was declared bomb-free.

The office resumed operations after the clearing operations.

Authorities are still trying to trace the sender of the text message.
