The Golden State Warriors bagged a much-needed emphatic win over the Houston Rockets, 133-110, to further solidify its bid for an NBA playoff contention on April 5, 2024.

With only six games remaining in the NBA regular season, Golden State is looking to improve its rankings and is currently sitting at the no. 10 spot in the Western Conference.

As of now, the Warriors’ six-game winning streak helped them regain their NBA Play-In hopes as Houston’s loss put them at the no. 11 place in the standings.

The Warriors are yet to drop a game since suffering their last loss on March 25, 2024, against   Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Entering their matchup against the Rockets with a five-game winning streak, the Warriors quickly snatched the momentum of the game as Stephen Curry’s early buckets helped them take a 33-24 lead.

Golden State’s high-octane offense and crisp ball movement took effect in the second quarter, steering them to a six-point second-quarter win while extending their cushion to 15 points heading into the second half.

Despite a hot start from Houston in the third frame, the red-hot Klay Thompson began to heat up from the three-point line that maintained Golden State’s double-digit lead.

It was all Golden State in the final canto of the duel as Golden State’s splash brothers made it rain from rainbow country to dispose the Rockets midway through the quarter.

Thompson ended his big night with 29 points built from an efficient 7/11 shooting from the three-point line while Curry equalized his scoring production while adding six rebounds and six assists.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Golden State’s young big man, also chipped in valuable numbers after tallying 20 points, five rebounds, and four dimes.

The Warriors will gun for their seventh consecutive victory today, at 8:30 AM against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
