Hard work really does pay-off.

For Raul Soyud, who went from last option to a reliable big man during the PBA Philippine Cup bubble, this was a dream come true.

The Gilas Pilipinas men’s basketball team just invited him to participate in their training bubble in Calamba joining CJ Perez, Justin Chua, and Kiefer Ravena in the list of PBA players who will be guiding the young guns of the roster.

Coach Yen Guiao’s center in NLEX showed a huge leap of improvement from his past seasons to a monstrous 10.0 points on 74% shooting from the field with 6.8 rebounds.

Gilas program director coach Tab Baldwin and the rest of the coaching staff will then be looking at their options for the final roster of team PH for the FIBA February window.

Gilas also received some good news after TNT Tropang Giga and Gilas mainstays Troy Rosario and RR Pogoy indicated that they will be joining them in the next few days.

Currently, Kiefer Ravena, CJ Perez, Justin Chua, Isaac Go, Matt Nieto, Mike Nieto, Rey Suerte, Javi Gomez de Liaño, Dave Ildefonso, Justine Baltazar, Calvin Oftana, William Navarro, Kemark Carino, and Angelo Kouame are the members who are already inside the bubble.
