BACOLOD City – In a Valentine’s Day sting operation, Silay City police apprehended three individuals for illegal drug dealings in Villa Hergon Matagoy, Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental. A fourth suspect managed to flee.

The detainees include Remily Serrano, a 33-year-old resident of Barangay Rizal, along with Ramil Labetoria, 41, and Keiffer Hernalin, 26, both from Barangay 2.

Serrano was caught selling shabu to an undercover officer for P3,000. Meanwhile, Chad Conlu evaded capture.

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, the city’s police chief, reported that the suspects were found in possession of 18 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P122,400. Additionally, Labetoria was found with a .38 caliber revolver.

Police records indicate Serrano as a known street-level drug dealer, whereas Labetoria and Hernalin have recently been identified as involved in drug activities.

Darroca noted that Conlu was the target of a search warrant for drug charges back in January 2015 but had managed to secure his release on bail. Similarly, Serrano had been released on bail for drug offenses in 2022.

During the operation, the two other suspects were allegedly caught during a “pot session” inside the premises.

Authorities also seized an improvised tooter and various non-narcotic related items.
