Woman injured in stabbing

BACOLOD City – A woman was injured after she was stabbed by an unidentified man inside their boarding house at Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental Sunday.

According to Lieutenant Ruby Aurita, Deputy Police Chief of San Carlos City Police Station, the 27-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, was standing in the compound lawn when the perpetrator suddenly entered the gate around 7AM.

“Wala na lock ang ila gate, siya lang isa pag-sulod ka suspect,” Aurita said.

Aurita said the victim asked the suspect for his purpose. When the suspect told her that he was looking for someone, the victim left.

But when as she was about to leave, the suspect pulled her hair, punched her head, and stabbed her.

“The victim fought back and was able to seek help, prompting the suspect to escape, bringing with him the unknown weapon he used,” Aurita said.

The victim suffered five stab wounds and was taken to a hospital.

Aurita said the victim can identify the suspect if she sees him again.

“Basi na tripping(an) lang siya,” she added.
