RTF-ELCAC6 holds gift-giving activity, medical mission

The Regional Task Force in Ending Local Armed Conflict 6 spearheaded by the Police Regional Office 6 conducted a gift-giving activity and medical mission on January 28, 2021 at the Civic Center, Tapaz, Capiz.

The activity was held in coordination with the provincial government of Capiz, local government unit of Tapaz, the Philippine Army, National Intelligence Collection Agency, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Health and Department of Interior and Local Government.

According to Police Brigadier General Rolando F Miranda, PRO-6 director, the activity aims to develop strong collaborative partnership essential to the government’s effort in the fight against insurgency and criminality in the region.

More than 280 recipients avail of the medical and psychological assistance, free haircut, gift packs from the PRO6 Regional headquarters and provincial government of Capiz and cash assistance from Municipality of Tapaz.

The recipients are from insurgency infiltrated areas of Tapaz who are relatives of those who surrendered to the government on January 8, 2021 in Calinog, Iloilo.

Joining RD Miranda in the activity were Tapaz Mayor Roberto Palomar, Capiz Gov. Esteban Evan B Contretras, Brigadier General Noel Baluyan of the 3ID, Philippine Army and DILG-Capiz provincial director John Ace A Azarcon.
